The Mike and Janet Huckabee Lake was built in cooperation with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. The lake features a concrete walking trail completely around the rim of the lake, several handicapped-accessible fishing piers, concrete lined shores, boat ramp, and a derby pond that can be cut off from the main lake for fishing derbys. It is located in Fair Park. To view a location map of the lake, go HERE to our maps page. The top picture, taken on August 2, 2005, shows the paved parking lot, concrete lined shore and fishing piers. The image on the bottom is the derby pond area on August 2, 2005. Notice the close-up of one of several fishing piers. |
