                  The above suspect was arrested on charges of Theft of Property under $500 and Public Intoxication – Drinking in Public.

 

11/8/08      1726 Hours in the 1600 Block of N. Bell

                  S – Unknown

                  Officers were called to the above location in reference to a residential burglary.  Upon arrival, officers found that an unknown suspect had entered the residence and removed property sometime between 11/6/08 and 11/8/08.  Among the property removed were a 19” silver Magnavox television, a silver DVD player, a RCA DVD recorder, and a large amount of costume jewelry.  The Hope Police Department is currently investigating this incident.

Hope Police Chief Re-elected to AACP Board

Chief J.R. Wilson of the Hope Police Department has been re-elected Southwest Region vice president of the Arkansas Association of Chiefs of Police.

Serving with him on the 2008-2009 AACP Executive Board will be:

·        J.R. Thomas of Searcy, director of the Arkansas Tobacco Control Board.

·        First Vice President – Chief Montie Sims, Dardanelle Police Department.

·        Second Vice President – Chief Keith Jackson, Greenwood Police Department.

·        Secretary/Treasurer – Retired Chief James Thomas of Harrison.

·        Northeast Region Vice President – Chief Ross Thompson, Blytheville Police Department.
