The Wastewater Department oversees the treatment of all wastewater collected by the sewer system of the City of Hope. This includes millions of gallons of waste from thousands of customers. Another function this department performs is maintenance of the 7 pump stations in the City system.

The treatment is performed by two treatment plants: one off Highway 67 West toward Texarkana and one off Highway 67 East toward Prescott.
